    Singapore Airlines Welcomes Latest BOEING 787-10 Aircraft Arrivals

    Singapore Airlines on Monday celebrated its inaugural Boeing 787-10 aircraft flight in Denpasar, Bali. Flight SQ942 departs Singapore Changi Airport at 0915 (Singapore time) and arrives at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali at 1155 (WITA).

    While the return flight SQ943 departs from Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali at 1500 (WITA) and arrives at Singapore Changi Airport at 1740 (Singapore time).

    The celebration of the inaugural flight was witnessed by Mr. Anil Kumar Nayar, Ambassador of Singapore for Indonesia, Mr. Anak Gede Yuniartha Son Son, Head of Bali Tourism Office, and Mr. W K Lim, Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President of South East Asia.

    The event was also attended by officials from the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia, as well as partners and guests of the honorable invitation of the local travel industry.

    SQ Be the Biggest Airplane to the Two Cities

    Singapore Airlines (SIA) has chosen Perth, Australia, as the second largest airline flight destination in the world and is expected to start operating in May 2018.

    Previously, Osaka, Japan, was selected as the first destination scheduled flew in the world’s largest commercial aircraft today, Boeing 787-10.

    Singapore Airlines Public Relations Manager Glory Henriette said the SIA would be the first airline in the world to operate the largest aircraft in the world.

    Singapore Airlines will use its newest A380 fleet to fly the Singapore-Sydney route.

    Based on press release, received by Bisnis, Wednesday (20/12) Singapore Airlines has prepared the latest seats equipped with alias entertainment in-flight entertainment.

    Singapore Airlines’ newest A380 fleet will feature 471 seats divided into four classes, with six Suites, 78 Business Classes, 44 Premium Economy Class, and 343 Economy Class.

    The aircraft began operations with the Singapore Airlines SQ221 service, which departs from Singapore on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 20:47 local time and arrives in Sydney on Tuesday at 07.43 local time.

    SIA & Air New Zealand Add Flight Route

    JAKARTA – Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand announced the launch of three daily flights with New Zealand-Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington routes starting from October 28, 2017.

    Singapore Airlines Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning, Tan Kai Ping, said Singapore Airlines (SIA) with Air New Zealand has benefited customers through more capacity, options, updated connections and codeshare collaboration destinations.

    “The newest flight to Auckland will increase the convenience for our customers and demonstrate our commitment to the market in New Zealand,” Tan Kai Ping said in a press release on Friday (8/12).

    SIA Group’s Net Profit Up 32%

    JAKARTA – Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group posted net profit of US $ 425 million in the first half of its financial year 2017-2018, up 32% from last year.

    These results came from group operating profits that increased by US $ 211 million and lower losses from associated companies by around U $ 46 million, as reported in a press release received by Business on Thursday (11/16/2017).
