• Vice Governor of Bali Supports a Reliable Logistics System

    Denpasar: The Vice Governor of Bali Ketut Sudikerta supports the establishment of a reliable, effective and efficient logistics system that can support non-oil exports on the Island of the Gods.

    “Bali is not only a tourist destination of the world, but Bali has become a market point for marketing various products, especially handicraft products from all over Indonesia that are distributed around the world,” Sudikerta said on Sunday, November 26, 2017.

    He stated that Bali is currently connected with other provinces in Indonesia and other cities around the world through five entrances and exits, namely I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Padang Bai Sea Port, Benoa Sea Port, Gilimanuk Seaport and Celukan Sea Port Onion.

    However, these places still need to improve both in terms of capacity and quality of service.

    “In the era of free trade, competition between nations is increasing, not only in terms of goods and services, competition also concerns logistics and supply chain networks, it is necessary to develop and improve distribution networks, transportation networks, information networks and financial networks to build systems reliable logistics, “Sudikerta said.

    It appreciated the event and the government is also committed to the development of infrastructure and synergy of the populist economy to realize equitable development in various sectors. The ALFI Central Leadership Meeting on “The Synergistic Revolution of National Logistics Business Between BUMS – SOEs To Generate a Sustainable and Sustainable Economy” took place for two days from 24-25 November 2017.

    This activity is carried out regularly every year to evaluate the previous year’s work program and develop a work program for the next year. The compilation of the materials in the Rapim refers to the development of logistics at the global level, ASEAN, government policies in the maritime and logistics sectors and enriched with the vision and mission of the elected chairman of 2014-2019.

    The event was opened by the Head of Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) Bambang Prihantono representing the Minister of Transportation followed by about 250 participants from ALFI members throughout Indonesia.
