• KULON PROGO AIRPORT, AP I: Amdal Document New Yogyakarta International Airport Already Created

    KULON PROGO – Environmental impact statement document or Amdal of New Yogyakarta International Airport development has been completed and published by Ministry of Environment.

    This was stated by PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) related to the construction of New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIA) airport in Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

    “This environmental impact analysis will be used as an acceleration reference for the physical construction of the airport to be operationalized in 2019,” said Sujiastono, NYIA Development Project Manager of PT AP I, in Kulon Progo, Sunday (22/10/2017).

    He mentioned that the Amdal document has been compiled and has been issued by the Ministry of Environment on October 17, 2017.

    Sujiastono confirmed that his side will soon publish the document so that the public will be clear.

    So, if there is a rebuttal from the community, immediately sent refutation. However, it will not reduce work activity in the field.

    “The target of the project so far has not changed so we will start construction of the airport,” he said.

    Currently, the land acquisition process is complete as a whole and land clearing is almost completed. Land clearing has almost reached 400 hectares of the total land area of ​​about 500 hectares.

    “People’s settlements area has also started to be exposed to the cleaning work,” he said.

    Sujiastono claimed land for the airside side, such as runway, taxy, apron has been cleared.

    Currently, PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PP) as the executor of field work will touch landside land, for passenger terminal, access road, and parking area.

    “The next stage, we will build the runway construction in mid-November can be done,” he said.
