    JAKARTA – The Ministry of Transportation predicts that there will be 180 aircraft movements during IMF – World Bank Annual Meeting on 8-14 October 2018 in Bali.

    Director General of Air Transportation Kemenhub Agus Santoso said the total number of delegates present could reach 18,000 people. Meanwhile, once flight can accommodate up to 200 passengers.

    “The number of delegates is divided only by the capacity of one flight,” said Agus at the Office of Coordinating Minister for Home Affairs, on Tuesday (3/4/2018).

    From these calculations, it takes 90 aircraft movement to transport all delegates. When calculated with arrival and departure, the total number becomes 180 aircraft movement.

    He added that the entire movement of the aircraft would be largely concentrated at a certain time. The peak position of the aircraft movement is predicted to occur the day before and the end of execution.

    In addition, he continued, the activity of aircraft movement will also occur a few days before the implementation of activities. Typically, the flight carries a companion or staff that prepares the guests’ arrival of an important delegate.

    “The flight flow will be arranged, we will give some alternatives in order to provide comfort to delegate guests,” he said.
