    MANGUPURA – The latest data obtained by the Tribun Bali regarding the airline’s policy to cancel its flights from and to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport is increasing. From the previous 31 flights now become 42 cancel flight.

    The canceled flight routes are Kuala Lumpur-Bali with flight code AK370, Bali-Kuala Lumpur with flight code AK371, Kuala Lumpur-Bali with flight code AK378, Bali-Kuala Lumpur with flight code AK379.

    In addition, Bali – Singapore with flight code QZ508, Singapore-Bali with flight code QZ509, Bali-Perth with flight code QZ536, Perth-Bali with flight code QZ537, Perth-Bali with flight code QZ545, Bali-Kuala Lumpur with flight code QZ554.

    Qantas Airlines also canceled flights, namely Denpasar-Melbourne, Denpasar-Sydney, Melbourne-Denpasar, Sydney-Denpasar.

    Virgin Air Airlines canceled flights, Sydney-Denpasar and Denpasar-Sydney.

    According to Arie, the airline’s policy may be due to avoiding the spread of volcanic ash into the aircraft engines that could endanger the flight.

    From the Tribun Bali’s observation in the field, visible passengers crowded the ticket counter of Ngurah Rai Airport to get information on flight cancellations and make changes to their flight schedule.

    Until now the operation of the airport runs normally and on the airside side there is no spread of volcanic ash and airport space is also safe for flight.
