• As of September, TPS Container Flow Up 3%

    SURABAYA – PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS) recorded that the export container flow performance in September 2017 increased 3% compared to the same period last year.

    Public Relations TPS, M. Solech said the flow of containers at the TPS until September was able to penetrate 957,975 TEUs, while in September 2016 reached 926,579 TEUs.

    “The increased performance of curricap currents is the achievement of our service improvement as the operation of 3 new Container Crane (CC) units at international docks,” he said in a press release on Thursday (5/10/2017).

    He said this year the TPS is completing the CC electrification process at the international pier this year to improve service performance in accordance with the target.

    Solech added that international ship visits in TPS during the period also rose 9.5%, of which there were 748 units of ships coming.

    While last year the arrival of international ships only as many as 683 units.

    In line with service improvement efforts, TPS on Thursday, October 5, 2017 has also distributed 200 packages of basic needs for container truck drivers operating in TPS to enliven the National Transportation Day 2017.

    The package consists of cooking oil, soy sauce, fruit juice, milk, sugar, coffee, and bath perlaytan such as towels and toothpaste.
