• 6 Foreign Airlines Use Terminal 3 of Soetta

    Prospective passenger plane at Terminal 3 Ultimate Soekarno-Hatta Airport

    Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) operator, PT Angkasa Pura II, said that the number of foreign airline operators moving their flights to Terminal 3 has reached six airlines.

    The latest, China Southern Airlines, a full service airline, has started its flight shift in Terminal 3. As for the move, it is done gradually.

    Before China Southern, other foreign airlines that had already been to Terminal 3 were Saudi Arabian Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Korean Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and China Airlines.

    Branch Communication Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Dewandono Prasetyo Nugroho said Angkasa Pura (AP) II has made some preparations for the transfer of foreign airline service to Terminal 3 can run smoothly.

    “All preparations have been made by AP II. We are ready to welcome the first flight of China Southern to Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport in the near future, “he said on Monday (8/28/2017).

    Dewandono said Terminal 3 is currently equipped with 64 immigration counters, where each of the 32 counters is on the departure and arrival lane. In addition, AP II also provides 32 autogate immigration.

    AP II also completes service facility in Terminal 3, starting from check in counter, free wifi, free internet booth, free charging booth, contact stand, ground support system (GSS), and so forth.

    “Currently, AP II has also implemented common use check-in counter system which is commonly applied in airport-class airport and best in the world,” he said.

    Just for the record, AP II plans all airlines that will serve international flight route will be flown from Terminal 3. If there is no transverse, the plan will be realized by the end of 2017.

    Meanwhile, Station Manager of China Southern Shen Ming assess Terminal 3 has better service than other terminals. He believes better service will provide added value for passengers.

    “Especially at this time, the needs of passengers from Indonesia and vice versa to work together in business continues to increase. To support it, we need an airport or terminal like Terminal 3, “he said.

    The plan, China Southern aircraft plane that will land at Terminal 3, carrying passengers from Guangzhou as many as 121 people. Meanwhile, China Southern also serves flights from Indonesia to Shenzhen.

    Terminal 3 capacity is currently only 19 million passengers per year, about 76% of the total capacity of 25 million passengers. Meanwhile, the passenger service charge (PSC) rate at Terminal 3 is Rp200,000 per passenger.
