• 13 AP II Airports Become Digital Travel Destinations for Millennials

    PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) or AP II wants to make the 13 airports it manages as a digital tourist destination. This concept is applied to reap more and more millennial consumers.

    AP II Managing Director Muhammad Awaluddin said, the application of the concept of digital tourism at the airport is expected to give a different impression for airline service users.

    Social media accounts are targeted as the main medium for millennials to publish the excitement of their visit experience at an airport. This method is expected to attract other millennial travelers to visit Indonesia.

    “In essence, we hope that we can provide positive inspiration for travelers to be able to enjoy millennials travel experience. So that they can tell stories through their social media accounts and viral on social media,” Awaluddin said.

    In order to optimize the millennial tour experience program, the approach applied by AP II is augmentation, activation, and amenities. Augmentation, namely adding and enlarging millennial service segments. Activation related to activating activities to encourage millennials to attend various airports. The amenities aspect, the company presents Airport Digital Lounge which is equipped with customer service robots.

    Airport Digital Lounge is now available at Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten. Awaluddin stated that this facility will be implemented gradually to all airports managed by Angkasa Pura II.

    The airports sheltered by AP II, namely Soekarno-Hatta, Halim Perdanakusuma, Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II, Supadio, Kualanamu, Minangkabau, Sultan Syarif Kasim II, Husein Sastranegara, Sultan Iskandar Muda, Raja Haji Fisabilillah, Depati Amir, Sultan Thaha, and Silangit .
