    Suantika also revealed, during the observation of the last two days, white smoke began routinely seen out of the crater of Mount Agung. In fact, before the smoke is rarely seen and never even seen from afar.

    “In the past, the white steam can not be seen from a distance, it can only be seen from the crater, but now it can be seen from a distance, it means that the gas pressure coming out is bigger,” he explained. The regular exit of smoke from the crater of Mount Agung, Suantika continued, is possible because of the expansion of the solfatara area.

    Suantika also reiterated that currently Mount Agung is still level IV (Awas), and still critical. “So it is ready to erupt,” he said.

    The existence of the fracture, according to Devi shows the manifestation of movement of magma that continues to the surface. In addition to crater fractures, satellite imagery also shows an increasingly hot image.

    Based on the monitoring since July 2017, the increase of hot image is increasingly significant in September 2017. The increase of heat image is also in line with the increasing of the intensity of the earthquake, both volcanic and tectonic.

    Based on the last observation the size of the hot image ranges in the area of ​​100-120 m². “Can not be sure but the range is 100 -120 meters on the northeast side,” Devi said.
