    This Challenge Encourage Private Build Up Port To Airport in RI

    Jakarta – Indonesian Transportation Society (MTI) said it is not easy to invite private business actors to invest in the transportation sector despite potential promising yields.

    “Inviting private (investing) is a requirement, that is credible and good planning document, as well as solid business plan, bankable and prudent planning process,” said Chairman of MTI Danang Parikesit in his statement Friday (2/2 / 2018).

    Transportation Observer Djoko Setiawarno added that not all projects in the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) are of interest to the private sector. Because there are still to be managed by the government because it requires a subsidy.

    Garuda Indonesia Reaches Five Star Predicate from Skytrax

    Garuda Indonesia Ranked Among the World’s Top Ten Airlines in Skytrax Evaluation


    The Jakarta Post reports that Garuda Indonesia continues to fly high in the eyes of the British-based airline consultancy Skytrax by retaining his “five-star airline” classification. Meanwhile, the Garuda low-cost subsidiary, Citilink is rated with four-stars by Skytrax.

    The recertification took place at the Singapore Airshow on Thursday, February 8, 2018, where Garuda’s president director, Pahala N. Mansury, was handed a certifications of renewal by Skytrax’s CEO Edward Paisted.

    Russian arrested at Bali’s airport with nearly 400 grams of hash pills in stomach

    A Russian man was arrested after landing at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport with 389.14 grams of cannabis capsules, aka hash pills in his stomach.

    Identified by initials AT, the 29-year-old had already been on Ngurah Rai Customs’ radar, so upon arrival, the Russian was flagged to undergo an x-ray scan.

    AT touched down in Bali on Jan. 15, but police didn’t publicly disclose the Russian’s case until Friday.
