    PVMBG Will Perform Evaluations Related Mount Agung A Week To The Next, If This Happens

    Gunung Agung’s volcanic activity to this day is still fluctuating.If the trend of decreasing earthquake activity, Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) Ministry of ESDM will evaluate the next week.

    “If there is a trend of decreasing the seismicity, it means we are still evaluating the future, because we are still waiting for the data again.At least a week ahead, we see the level of seismic like what this week ahead,” explained Head of Volcano Mitigation PVMBG I Gede Suantika, Tuesday 3/10/2017) found in Post Observation Gunungapi Agung, Rendang Village, Karangasem, Bali.

    Ministry of Transportation: Aviation Has Not Impacted Mount Agung Condition

    Kuta (Antara Bali) – The Ministry of Transportation stated that until now the flight from and to Bali has not been affected by the condition of Gunung Agung in Karangasem regency which has been set up status due to the absence of volcanic ash.

    “During this week’s alert status there is no fear of flight as long as there is no volcanic ash,” said Air Transportation Director General Kushub Agus Santoso when welcoming the first flight of India-Bali Kolkata route by AirAsia Indonesia at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Badung, Monday.

    Similarly, when the volcanic ash potential level of Mount Agung was raised to “orange” by the Vulcano Observatory Notice to Aviation (VONA) also has not had an impact on normal flight in Bali.

    Loading Unloading Rates in Priok Expired, APBMI Proposed Extension

    JAKARTA – The Indonesian Stevedoring Company Association (APBMI) proposes that the tariff / cost of loading and unloading service / OPP / OPT of the current non-container / breakbulk cargo at the conventional port of Tanjung Priok port in Jakarta will be extended for another 6 months.

    The proposal is given that currently the validity of OPP / OPT tariff in the port of Priok has expired, and in order to fulfill the legality aspect, in order to extend it only in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations.

    Chairman of DPP APBMI Muhamad Fuadi said that in the current unstable economic condition and the volume of cargo also tends to decrease, it should not be necessary to evaluate much less increase the tariff of loading and unloading services at the port.

    Bali volcano evacuees outside red zone fearful to return home

    Thousands of residents who fled a rumbling volcano on the island of Bali are refusing to leave evacuation centers after being told to return to their homes outside of the immediate danger zone.

    Officials announced the highest possible alert level for Mount Agung, about 75 kilometers (47 miles) from the resort hub of Kuta, on September 22, telling people not to venture within nine to 12 kilometers of the summit.
